World Champion and Paralympic Medalist Alba García Falagán, EMAC’s Ambassador for Universal Accessibility
In Spain, nearly 2 million people depend on others to leave their homes, and only 1 in 10 people with reduced mobility lives in an accessible building. Accessibility is not a gesture or a trend; it is an outstanding debt to people. With this reality as a starting point, we announce the incorporation of Paralympic medalist Alba García Falagán as Ambassador for Accessibility and Universal Safety at an international level.
The partnership is born with a clear purpose: to transform universal accessibility into a tangible reality by integrating it as a structural criterion in the design of spaces and placing people at the center of every decision. The incorporation of Alba García Falagán into the EMAC® Group team reinforces our commitment to safer, more inclusive and functional environments, promoting a shared vision based on technical knowledge, experience and empathy as drivers of genuine inclusion.
“At EMAC we understand accessibility as a real responsibility, not a symbolic gesture. This collaboration with Alba stems from the conviction that only by placing people at the center of spatial design can we move towards a universal accessibility that is practical, applied and consistent with everyday life,” says Emi Boix, CEO of EMAC® Group.
For her part, Alba García Falagán emphasizes that “accessibility is very difficult to achieve if there are no companies like EMAC® that truly integrate it into their products and decisions. For me, being part of a project that is committed to concrete solutions and to an inclusion that is lived day by day is both a responsibility and a source of pride.”
A signing with purpose
Alba García Falagán’s role as EMAC® Group’s Ambassador for Accessibility will be key in bringing a practical, everyday vision of accessibility to society. The Paralympic athlete and international medalist will represent EMAC in awareness initiatives, internal and external actions, and projects related to accessibility and inclusive design.
World champion in the T11 long jump and Paralympic medalist, Alba is also an active voice in the public conversation about disability. Through her outreach work, she strives to highlight physical and social barriers, promote normalization, and advocate for the need to design spaces intended for everyone.
Accessibility, sport and the Spain Brand
This collaboration is part of a broader vision of EMAC® Group’s commitment to the Spain Brand, understood as the international projection of companies that compete through innovation, quality and responsibility. As a Spanish company with a global presence, EMAC® supports an industrial model that combines technical development, an export-oriented approach and the ability to generate a positive impact through the design of spaces.
Paralympic sport represents precisely these values: effort, excellence, resilience and the ability to transform reality. The incorporation of Alba García Falagán connects this sporting talent with industry, reinforcing the idea that accessibility is not only a regulatory requirement but also a strategic element that defines how we want to build our cities and project ourselves as a country.
With this alliance, EMAC® Group reaffirms its commitment to responsible design aligned with the real needs of people, integrating accessibility as a transversal axis that improves quality of life and strengthens a Spain Brand associated with meaningful innovation, social commitment and technical leadership.
To formalize this collaboration, Alba recently visited our facilities in Quart de Poblet, Valencia, where she had the opportunity to meet the team and learn more about EMAC’s projects first-hand. The meeting helped strengthen the connection between both parties and consolidate an alliance based on shared values and objectives.
